Are you a website builder or website maker like Wix or Squarespace?
No. Porch Light Desk Website Design is not a DIY website builder or website maker app. We are the people who build it: Erik designs, writes and launches a custom site for your business, so you do not have to drag and drop anything yourself.
Can you build my site if I'm not near Nashville?
Yes. Most projects run remote nationwide by text, email and video. Nashville-area owners can meet in person when it helps. Spring Hill, Franklin, Columbia and Brentwood are close to the studio if you want a face-to-face.
Can you rebuild an app I already have?
Yes. If your app is slow, outdated, broken or was left behind by an old developer, I can modernize the design, fix the bugs and make it work offline or on more devices. You deal with me start to finish.
Do you only work in Tennessee?
No. The studio sits in Nashville, but most projects run remote nationwide. If you have a business and a domain (or need one), we can build the site.
What do you deliver on a typical site?
A uniquely built website on your domain: homepage, services, about, contact, mobile layout, click-to-call and text, a protected form, basic on-page SEO, and copy in your voice. Packages start around five to eight pages; more pages and city landers are available.
Who is a good fit?
Owners who want a site that looks owned — not a rented template. Trades, shops, clinics, restaurants, and other service businesses that need clear offers and a phone number on the first screen. If you want a giant agency deck and a six-month timeline, we are not the fit.
What does a project cost?
New shop sites start around $2,400. Rebuilds start around $3,200. Optional rank-and-desk coverage starts around $400 per month. Final quote after intake. Billing is 50% up front and 50% on completion — no card charged on this site.
How fast is a launch?
We'll have a fully designed site launched in a week. That is for a standard business site, counted from intake, with your edits handled along the way. Rebuilds depend on how much of the old site we keep. You stay on the tools while we write and ship.
Nashville studio or fully remote?
Both. The studio is Nashville-based. Nashville-area clients can meet in person when it helps. Everyone else works by phone, video, and email — same desk, same uniquely built standard, nationwide.
What happens after launch?
You get the live site, a short how-to for common edits, and form or call paths that reach you. Optional ongoing desk work covers new pages, Google Business posts, and light SEO. Stay only if the site is earning the fee.
Are your websites templates?
No. Every website is uniquely built for your business — not a copy-and-paste template. Yours will be one of a kind.
Do you invent reviews?
Never. We use real photos and real notes. If you do not have reviews yet, we do not fake a star count.
What do you need from us?
Business name, phone, what you sell, logo, a few real photos, and goals for the site. Domain login if you already own one.
